Guest Hax Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 Not sure where this post lives really so I though I'd put it in here out of the way... Just got a letter this morning telling me that I'll be getting free Orange care on all phones on my account from the 1st of September 2003 for a year..... Not sure if this is being given to all O customers or to SPV owners or what, just thought I'd share... Anyway, nice of O :)) Hax
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 And here's me with Insurance from The Link. From what i've heard i'm more and more tempted to cancel that and take out Orange care...
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 Orange Care rocks... I'd never go with 3rd party insurance... P
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 Costs 3x as much for the equivelent from Orange though ;) If i get free cover i may reconsider though... :)
Guest Hax Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 Know what you mean Mono - bit annoying really as O care used to be free for the first year.... However, having used it in the past, I don't think the service would be matched by another provider. In my case, I called up on a Friday at around 17:30 to report that I had a problem with my phone (6210 then!) in that the IRDA was no longer working and there was a rather worrying rattling sound inside.... firstly, they didn't have any replacement 6210's in stock so I was offered an 8310 instead (nice!) and then to top it off, the nice lady on the phone apologised because the earliest they'd be able to get a phone to me was by 11:30 the next morning  Wasn't expecting a replacement until the middle of the week TBH, but sure enough, the following morning I had a nice new shiny 8310 in my hands :) Can't fault that service - and you really *can* call it service too! Hax
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 Exactly, and i'd be willing to pay extra for an excellent service :) Trouble is i'm back to being a full time student in September, so costs will have to be (in theory ;p) kept as low as possible hehe
Guest Gunslinger Posted July 10, 2003 Report Posted July 10, 2003 Orange care is good, having over 10 phones replaced by them over the years. Usually next day delivery and on time. very little hassle. Had two SPV's delivered through orange care over the last 4 months. On Thursday 3.00pm i reported a problem with SPV stuck in headset profile. A few minutes on the phone with CS and Friday 10.00am new phone. I do have another phone (i wont mention the make on this forum) i bought offline, can i get this phone insured with anybody, eg. link etc.? Thanks
