garble when receiving sms

I know there is a problem sending long messages from the spv. However, yesterday I rec'd a text from a mate where i could read the first few words but the rest of the message was just rubbish - a load of symbols etc.

It was not a long sms and I have had no probs sending or rec'ing sms from and to all networks.

Any ideas??

Had that prob once or twice from a Samsung on O2, no idea why, and hasn't happened for a few months now....

Yeah my mate has a Samsung and is also on O2. Strange?? I suppose there is not much that can be done then?

Its quite poor that there are so many sms issues with this phone.

What model Samsung was it, my woman was sending them from a N100 (i think, the non-flip one without an aerial).

I received a text message today (on my SPV) containing symbols, etc. The funny thing is that I was on a call at the time - perhaps the phone just can't handle a two things at once?

Nope its the SPV for sure--ive had this lots of times from different phones--only when at home from uni in a bad signal area.

i only get a very very weak signal and i think if the signal is interuppted just at the right time is screws the text message.
