Guest less Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 I know there is a problem sending long messages from the spv. However, yesterday I rec'd a text from a mate where i could read the first few words but the rest of the message was just rubbish - a load of symbols etc. It was not a long sms and I have had no probs sending or rec'ing sms from and to all networks. Any ideas?? cheers
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 Had that prob once or twice from a Samsung on O2, no idea why, and hasn't happened for a few months now....

Yeah my mate has a Samsung and is also on O2. Strange?? I suppose there is not much that can be done then? Its quite poor that there are so many sms issues with this phone.
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 What model Samsung was it, my woman was sending them from a N100 (i think, the non-flip one without an aerial).
Guest less Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 This is from the A800 (flip model with aerial).
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 I say blame it on samsung, the SPV could never be wrong :)
Guest Flash Posted August 6, 2003 Report Posted August 6, 2003 I received a text message today (on my SPV) containing symbols, etc. The funny thing is that I was on a call at the time - perhaps the phone just can't handle a two things at once?
Guest MECX Posted August 6, 2003 Report Posted August 6, 2003 Nope its the SPV for sure--ive had this lots of times from different phones--only when at home from uni in a bad signal area. i only get a very very weak signal and i think if the signal is interuppted just at the right time is screws the text message. it looks like Hey sexy i just wanna rip your clothes off an* )(*(^$%)(^%%"!*&)( )(*(*^^£££"!%$£^$ (((*&^%$%$"!"""$^% (this message is a reconstruction 8) )
