But how do you run programs that are in a folder and all they have is some files and a XML file. When I select the file in explorer it just opens up all the text coding in IE. I am obviously doing something wrong :S

So what I wanna know is, how do I intall or use apps or games etc. when all there is is a XML file and some others ;)

Thanks in advance (unless you insult me :))

Welcome to the site :)

XML files are kinda like html (webpage) files, which is why they are opened in IE if you try to view them. They contain a code which defines things like the position of the clock on your home screen, and what icons are displayed along the top of the screen - very similar to HTML used in websites.

XML files cannot be executed like an exe - they are not programs in themselves.

What program(s) are you trying to install, and what were the other files you mentioned?

It sounds like you havent got all of the files you should have.

An example would be the SNES emulator, it just has _setup.xml and POCKET~1

I just need to know how to get the 'setup' working :)

Sounds to me like you are trying to unzip a cab file.

Cab files should just be put on your Storage Card (anywhere) - and then run with a program like Smart Explorer or All Explorer

Unless of course that's the program you are trying to install *S*

Then just place the cab file in IPSM // Windows // StartMenu // Games via ActiveSync

Then on your mobile go Programs // Games and run the file - you'll then have the option to install it on your phone or storage card (try to do the latter...)

yes - the file 'setup.xml' tells the phone where to install the files when the program is installed from a cab file - you shouldnt be unzipping the cab at all - just copy it to your phone as MoRFLeZ says, then run it using smart explorer.
