Guest pitviper Posted July 10, 2003 Report Posted July 10, 2003 Hi everyone! What else can I do with my smartphone beside the usual? Guest pitviper Posted July 12, 2003 Report Posted July 12, 2003 Thanks for your responds! By the way, can I receive video file via infrared from other phones? By brother tried to send me video file from his N9210, I received it but I can't view it. I'm also having problem connecting my phone to the pc via usb...pls help! Is there any downloads that can turn my phone into a remote control like those of N9210/N3650/N7650?
Guest dinoalbert Posted July 12, 2003 Report Posted July 12, 2003 @eliza Im using Smart Explorer v1.0b5 @mario what is the file type of the video that you receieved from the Nokia phone? If its .wmv, you can view it with Windows Media Player....if its .mpeg, you can view it with PocketTV...if its .avi you can view it with PocketDivX did you install Active Sync on your PC before you plugged your Smartphone through the usb? there is no app yet taht will enable you to use your phone as remote control....pero sa pocketPC pwede :)
Guest pitviper Posted July 13, 2003 Report Posted July 13, 2003 I received a video file with .nim, I know its for nokia only, but in 9210, you can edit the file name to any extension like .wmv....so I tried if it will work, but it did not. I installed the active sync before connecting my phone. I guess its not compatible because my pc is kind of old version. Is there any one generous enough who could help me download games or other software through his pc? pls.... I'm from QC. I just bought a 128 MMC Card with brand Flash Memory Card for 2200 bucks in SM West. How true that not all brands are compatible with smartphone? I haven't updated yet my smartphone in the new version, do I really have to? What's difference? In the Smart Wireless SM West, they don't have it yet, I heard they have it only in Makati. Thanks all!
Guest BrAGoL Posted July 14, 2003 Report Posted July 14, 2003 i'm from qc too... where exactly in qc are you? i'm also using mmc card (pqi brand) which i bought from greenhills for almost the same amount... they said that upgrading to ver 1.50.28 prevents you from unlocking your phone... but they also said it would make it faster than the previous version...
Guest spv_dman Posted July 14, 2003 Report Posted July 14, 2003 Hi everyone! What else can I do with my smartphone beside the usual? Are there any features, upgrades and applications I can add or install to my phone? How can I download games and play MP3? What is this Orange thing I had searched in the internet? Hope to hear from you guys! Thanks! =) A number of things you can do with your Smart Amazing Phone (SAP). This site/ forum is pretty useful for beginners to have an idea on how to use the SAP. Refer to the sites below for some nice stuffs you can install on your SAP: http://www.monolithix.org/spv_software.html http://www.smartphone2000.com http://www.smartphony.org (french) You may upload mp3s and applications using ActiveSync with the USB cable attached to your phone and your PC. It works just like windows explorer, you can drag and drop files to and from your PC going to your SAP. Again, just browse through this site for further details. Just a bit of info, Orange is a European telecom, not sure where exactly its based. If I'm not mistaken it's in UK. Just like Smart Communications, Orange is one of the first operator to market the MS Windows powered Smartphone. They call it SPV (Sounds, Pictures, Videos). 8)
Guest pitviper Posted July 15, 2003 Report Posted July 15, 2003 I had already tried using the MMC that I bought. Thank God its working! Anyone here who knows where to get an affordable 256 MMC? My brother is looking for one! Master, Hi master! I checked out your website. Its really cool and helpful for beginners like me. I just downloaded the smart explorer! Amazing! By the way, what's the codes for the games? Most are only demos right? Can I put the games directly in the GAME program? One of the games that I downloaded was already in the GAME program, but the rest I have to open in smart explorer. Bragol, I'm from Frisco. How bout you? Where can I have my phone open lined? If I upgrade my phone to the new version, will all the settings reset? spv_dman, I'll checkout the websites that you recommended too. Thanks!
