Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted July 10, 2003 Report Posted July 10, 2003 Doesn't say anywhere that you can't... :)
Guest XGEOX Posted July 10, 2003 Report Posted July 10, 2003 The 'prize' phone isnt free at all - you still have to pay a year's £15 monthly contract, or have the phone as a 'free' upgrade. But why would you 'upgrade' from an SPV to the 7250? Not much of a prize is it...
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted July 10, 2003 Report Posted July 10, 2003 If you arent going to switch from Orange in the next 12 months it's still a free handset (you keep your old one when you upgrade).
Guest XGEOX Posted July 10, 2003 Report Posted July 10, 2003 i guess so - and then i suppose you could unlock it and give to family/friend or keep as backup, whilst still using the SPV (would that be possible, or would it invalidate contract?). But when they say ''win a 7250'', i doesnt suggest anything about being forced into a 12 month contract if you are 'lucky' enough to win... You pay for the phone in the contract - so essentially, you are 'winning' the chance to enter a 12 month contract with Orange. Sounds Great
Guest MECX Posted July 14, 2003 Report Posted July 14, 2003 heh heh what a good idea---but you may be at a disadvantage coz the SPV menus and stuff will be slighly slower etc than a nokia
Guest ajb3000 Posted July 14, 2003 Report Posted July 14, 2003 A couple of thoughts, firstly I wonder if it times it or compares the time the SMS was sent to the one it recieves. If it's the latter, you could send an SMS via an SMSC in GMT+1 exactly 1 hour and 1 second later. Secondly, SmartVNC would be quicker. There must be a program somewhere to replace upper case with lowercase, copy, paste, edit, copy paste, send. That would take seconds.
