Guest nickcornaglia Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 I was just trying to install Links. It must be HUGE! Anyway...it errored out on installation saying I didnt have enough room on my phone and to remove some programs to free up some room. I dont even want to install onto my phone...I usually intall everything onto my SD with exceptions like Midnights Tweaks and the like...thinks I need on there wether the SD is in or not. I thing I had over half of my space left in IPSM. :?: 1) Is there a way to install directly onto the SD card? The program aborted on install but the phone still thinks it's full. 4K left. How do I clear out those files..I cant find them nor do I think they installed but the phone thinks they did, I guess. I've tried multiple soft resets with no luck. :?: 2) How do I resolve this problem? EDIT: Well...my phone has crashed causing me to do a Hard Reset. BOOOOOOO!!!! EDIT2: I guess the problem was that I didnt have enough memory on the phone to temporarily store the cabs before it asks where you want to load the program. But I'm still pissed I had to hard reset!
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 2) A bit late now you have done a hard reset but for future referance, on a failed install have a look in IPSMWindowsAppMgrInstall and either run what you find there or delete it. Remember also that ot view this folder you have to use a file manager on the phone ie Smart Explorer.
Guest nickcornaglia Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Thanks for the info! But my screen locked on the BlueScreen eventually and there was no getting by it, no matter how many times I pulled my battery off or how long I waited. Next time....I'll know! I secretly like hard resets as they are an opportunity to cclean up all the little bits left over from installing and uninstalling. I just hate being forced into one! Thanks. Nick
