Here's a sorta alpha preview :roll: of the home screen I'm making. Can someone please tell me how and if it's possible to let the clock be shown when using the scroll down menu? Cheers!!! Love the new forum design! :)

I dunno yet mate :) thanks, it's not even near the final stage yet, still needs alot of xml tweaking. 24/12 hour clock can easily be changed in the xml though!

Cheers,

Mmm... that does look good!

Give us a bit more detail on how you are making the scroll appear, what plugins are in what order etc.

the scroll is made by different pictures that links to the assigned shortcuts, thereby making the scroll wheel illusion. so i'm wondering if it can be done without having to use fullscreen pictures that *hides* the clock?

like this, linking the different jpg's.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------------

tho, the jpg's hide the time & date settings on all but the "main home screen" :/ this is what's bugging me.

Mmm... interesting!

I'm not sure about this - I'm not exactly an expert, more like a rank amateur in fact!!

I have a shortcut at the top of my homescreen which does something similar to what you are trying to do. I have a plugin shortcut to callface - which has a fullscreen jpg . My backgroung image is set as normal, & the shortcut background appears over it - but I can still see the clock plugin! So I would guess that you can do this with full screen images - but am sorry to say I don't think I can help you with more details!! :oops:

You don't have to use full screen images tho. Try making images the same height as your plugin. If they fit into your background image, then they should just appear within the plugin height/width limits - so you could set the clock to appear above/below that plugin, so it would always be there.

Dunno if any of this makes sense - or even if any of it is actually good advice!! But maybe if we keep this thread going, one of the modaco geniuses will come to our rescue! :)

I'm keen to see the results here coz your idea is very cool & original!

DrBlow

Can you post your xml for the callface shortcut. I tried to do it last night without success.

Cheers - H

Here ya go m8 -

name="callface" height="0">

action="IPSMWindowsStart MenuCallface.lnk"/>

name="carrier" height="200">

bgcolor="transparent" font-weight="bold" bgimage="IPSMApplication

DataHomecallface_On.jpg" />

fgcolor="#888888">

halign="right" fgcolor="#ffffff"/>

fgcolor="#ffffff" />

Put this plugin at the top of the xml (underneath missed calls plugin if you have one). To match the homescreen image, I attatch a full screen background pic to the carrier plugin just beneath this one (it displays while on the shortcut). Know what I mean??

Let me know if that doesn't make sense! :oops:
