Guest sumradagnoth Posted July 12, 2003 Report Posted July 12, 2003 Hmm.. gettin email just fine through T-Mobile... websites not working. I get a "page cannot be displayed" type of error, no matter which site i go to. I doublechecked my voicestream data connection settings, and its all set correctly. Any chance this a t-mobile issue? also, i have that G in a box up at the top, so i am in gprs range.
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted July 12, 2003 Report Posted July 12, 2003 Sure you haven't missed out a web proxy maybe? (wide guess...)
Guest sumradagnoth Posted July 12, 2003 Report Posted July 12, 2003 positive and, i can get to WAP pages... just no http :) settings were working fine last night
Guest sumradagnoth Posted July 12, 2003 Report Posted July 12, 2003 ok, spoke to Tmobile and found out what this is... it started last night they say, and its a problem with their http proxy server. if you selected to use the tmobile internet web page accelerator thing, you may have this problem. unfortunately, i chose to use that feature (though i recently read that not using it is actually faster) and that is what is causing this prob. now the crappy thing is there is no way to disable this on the smartphone without going back to the tmobile site and deselecting the option... BUT i cant get to http sites through gprs so.... hard reset time!
Guest nickcornaglia Posted July 13, 2003 Report Posted July 13, 2003 YOU DONT HAVE TO HARD RESET Just delete your temporry internet files and cookies. The next time you go to IE you will get the TMobile Accelerator Screen Again...just dont accept the settings. For what it's worth...I'm not having any troubles in the Northeast.
Guest sumradagnoth Posted July 13, 2003 Report Posted July 13, 2003 well i dunno. when i called tmobile and spoke to a second tier tech, he seemed to know exactly what i was talking about... even gave me 50 free minutes for my inconvenience... im hoping this is actually what the problem is, but if you arent having any issues... makes me second guess the whole thing. oh well.
