Guest victornikela Posted July 14, 2003 Report Posted July 14, 2003 Does the new Mitac phone incorporate an SDIO slot? Would there be any feasible way to ubgrade the phone to Bluetooth?
Guest moonsmoto Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 To my understanding that is not really possible since the Mio8380 by MiTAC is running on the Smartphone 2002 platform.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 If it's like the SPV it does have SDIO support but not the drivers for it :) See what happens when 2003 is running on it :?:
Guest Kallisti Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 I just don't understand all of this anymore. The bSQUARE SDIO Now! program document (http://www.bsquare.com/dld-files/datasheets/SDIO_OV_1102.pdf) lists Pocket PC 2002 as one of the supported target platforms, they mention Smartphone 2002 on their SDIO Now! frontpage (http://www.bsquare.com/products/sdionow/default.asp). It's known that the SD slot supports SDIO. So why the hell can't we get a bluetooth driver going on it?!?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 As I said there are NO drivers for it, it's an MS thing. http://www.developers.orange.com/forums/sh...hp?&threadid=27 Cheers mono for the link :)
Guest Kallisti Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 SDIO Now! IS a driver isn't it? Why do they list Smartphone 2002 if none of the smartphone 2002 phones have it. As a side note, they do also mention that microsoft will be integrating SDIO Now! into PocketPC 2003 .NET SDK. I've not played with it, so no idea if that's actually the case or not.
