Guest Simon Desser Posted July 15, 2003 Report Posted July 15, 2003 Smartphonenotes by Syncdata, is available now on Handango Here's what they say:- SmartphoneNotes is an ActiveSync service provider that enables synchronization of Microsoft Outlook text notes with Microsoft Windows Powered Smartphone 2002 devices. Text notes are not natively supported on Smartphone 2002, therefore we have provided an application that can be used to view and edit your Outlook Notes on the phone. In addition, you can create new notes that will be transferred to Microsoft Outlook at next synchronization, along with all of your changes and deletions. Create, edit and delete text notes on your Smartphone - you can save them in the phone memory or in a storage card Place a phone call, send an email, navigate with Pocket Internet Explorer directly from the note - SmartphoneNotes parses phone numbers, email addresses and Internet URLs in the text! Synchronize your text notes with Microsoft Outlook, version 2000 or 2002/XP Compatible with ActiveSync 3.6, 3.7 At this time, SmartphoneNotes synchronization feature can only work with Orange-branded Microsoft Windows Powered Smartphones; other Smartphones are not supported. Requirements:Microsoft Outlook 2000 or 2002/XP Compatible Devices/Operating System: Orange SPV Get it here

Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted July 15, 2003 Report Posted July 15, 2003 Handango are good for putting up apps but not making them available for a day or so :/
Guest www.msmobiles.com Posted July 15, 2003 Report Posted July 15, 2003 Handango are good for putting up apps but not making them available for a day or so :/ Don't blame Handango pal. The vendor of this software has written to me: Unfortunately, the product was not activated yet for purchase, so we have temporarily removed it. In a short time, we will make it available again; we will of course inform your readers about the release. Please note : this piece of software was discovered at Handango with help of my spyware, and then published at msmobiles and picked by many other sites. The vendor was not intending to announce it yet. That's why the small confusion... officially this software does not exist yet (as you can see in the smartphone section of handango ). Don't blame Handango, blame me or my spyware :) My spyware detected also some other unreleased smartphone software, like "infrared remote control" for ms smartphone... but it looks less reliabe than these smartphone notes so I have not published it...
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted July 15, 2003 Report Posted July 15, 2003 Oh go on JPZR... IR Remote Control? That I gotta see :) P
Guest www.msmobiles.com Posted July 15, 2003 Report Posted July 15, 2003 "]Oh go on JPZR... IR Remote Control? That I gotta see :) P firstly the soft seems not mature (the company has not published it on their web site yet officially, only my spyware spotted it) secondly: the range of infrared in SPV/Tanager is second to nothing, so no good for remote infrared control, but let see. I can only betray that the name of the company starts with "v".
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted July 15, 2003 Report Posted July 15, 2003 That's not very helpful :) Link link link! P
Guest www.msmobiles.com Posted July 15, 2003 Report Posted July 15, 2003 "]That's not very helpful :) Link link link! P Vito-Tech has under construction a version of this product: http://www.vito-tech.com/products/product_15.html but for MS Smartphone. They have not announced it yet but they have some version for ms smartphone. It was detected by my spyware, so don't blame me or my spyware if they will not release it after all (if they will give up releasing it for some reasons)...
Guest www.msmobiles.com Posted July 15, 2003 Report Posted July 15, 2003 Smartphonenotes by Syncdata, is available now on Handango Get it here Just for the record: the updated URL of this program is HERE: here (Syncdata people thought that they can fool my spyware) (BTW: Paul O. - please fix this link - your "affiliate redirector" is messing it up...)
Guest akarno Posted July 20, 2003 Report Posted July 20, 2003 I have just purchased this application. It was one I have been waiting for, for a long time as I use Outlook notes a lot. Works well and does almost everything you would expect. One small problem. I use sub - folders to split my notes into different categories. Smartphonenotes only includes notes from the top level. This is a little annoying, but program is so useful that I can live without this for now. Maybe it could be fixed for the next release.
Guest smartphone-web.com Posted July 21, 2003 Report Posted July 21, 2003 See a review here It contains screenshots and a comment of Giuseppe Govi why SmartphoneNotes is only available for Orange Smartphones.
