Guest martin Posted July 17, 2003 Report Posted July 17, 2003 Pipin Does anyone on the fourm have at present a working payt spv on vodafone. " i,m not looking for members to say they know so and so got 1 or thingys got one i think" What i,m looking for is a person/s to come forward and say yes i am using gprs on vodafone payt right now. not i had one or here are the settings or some know all who thinks he knows what to do. ONLY PEOPLE WITH PAYT WORKING RIGHT AT THIS MOMMENT please answer. Cause me and half a dozen other members would dearly love to chat to you and seek your advice to get our spv,s working the same way as you.I will simply add that I had already given you these settings and informed you on a number of occasions that GPRS would not presently work as there was a high severity fault listed with Vodafone. This meant the NOBODY was going to have a working PAYT GPRS on their SPV. I found your comment "not i had one or here are the settings or some know all who thinks he knows what to do" very unappreciative. And please other members dont take offence but unless the spv you are presently using is on vodafone payt let the people i,m seeking have their chance to help me and the others like me, without you scrambling our brains up for another forthnight with all your settings advice. the present setting posted on this forum does not work with our spv on vodafone this is why i,m only looking for people with working vodafone payt spv,s. I had already told you that I used a Vodafone PAYT SIM and I only ever gave you one set of instructions for setting up GPRS. I again informed you by PM that the Vodafone fault was still active and GPRS was still down and that I would update you with any news. So what is the point of my reply ? You should thank Yorski for posting these settings again because I wouldn't have.
Guest MECX Posted July 18, 2003 Report Posted July 18, 2003 2nd that martin but hope you can still give your expertise to other people in future. Pipin people on this site always try to help and if information was wrong the very good mods would take it down, they are also mostly engineers, computer programers or work for the phone companys so know there stuff. Even if your post wasnt meant to be malicious it obviously did offend someone and if everyone was like this you wouldent have a forum to get any of the cool things off. chill
Guest nickcornaglia Posted July 18, 2003 Report Posted July 18, 2003 The original statement was really uncalled for. Martin's help has been a huge help, not only to myself...but to countless others on this site. I refer people to him all of the time because he is the man in the know. Martin...don't let pipin discourage you from continuing to be a valuable asset to this site. You are appreciated by everyone who has the pleasure to have their problems solved by you and your extensive research. Pipin...why do you think it took 2 days to get your question answered after a large number of people viewed your post? If they were like me...it was because of the 'tude. I only returned to see who if someone actually gave you $hit for the way you asked. Have some respect for everyone on the site...especially those who go out of their way to help perfect strangers with their problems and questions.
Guest yorski Posted July 18, 2003 Report Posted July 18, 2003 Hear Hear...Got to back up Martin, Encece, Mecx comments!!!! Also especially having an Orange SPV with Vodafone sim has been initially very frustrating so many thanks to this site and especially martin's support.... Y
Guest martin Posted July 18, 2003 Report Posted July 18, 2003 Cheers guys :) I only got involved in GPRS setups as there was a lot of GPRS related topics on MoDaCo at the time and after answering a few of them, I just carried on. Unfortunately, the tone of Pipin's comments just seemed to hit a little nerve  but I know this is only the opinion of one guy and it shouldn't really matter. Anyway, thanks again. martin
Guest pipin Posted July 19, 2003 Report Posted July 19, 2003  well dont let the newbie tittle be fooling u boys it seem that some of you are just puppys compared to how long i,ve been a member of this forum. i will reitarate what i said in my first posting. the setting for payt vodafone settings posted on this forum does not work on mine and half a dozen other members spvs. and martin if you took offence of the post then it was because you should learn to read such posting right. I might have the newbie attact to my name but i dont take bullshit for any one. u dont see me answering question very offten. but what bloody question i do answer i give the right bloody answers to. and for the others who jumped to martins aid when i want your comments i,ll ask for them. he,s a big boy now, and this is a hard world, get use to it people  this forum getting like a daisy chain line: you push me and i,ll push him: and he can push the first one all over again. llpl :) give me a f@@@@@g break
Guest nickcornaglia Posted July 19, 2003 Report Posted July 19, 2003 Hey! You just hit 50 posts...you're not a newbie anymore!
Guest ashley.flynn Posted July 19, 2003 Report Posted July 19, 2003 how old are you pippin, if you dont mind me asking?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted July 19, 2003 Report Posted July 19, 2003 Pipin congrats on regular status ashley he's way older than you :) (it used to be posted and a photo)
Guest honmunho Posted July 19, 2003 Report Posted July 19, 2003 I for one is definitely on Martin's side regardless of what pipin may claim he has (expertise is useless if he does not help/share). Martin had, in my previous acknowledgement, came thru for me when my Singapore telco failed to help. And I have seen his contribution to the forum where others value his asistance. Martin :) , good work & keep it up.
Guest martin Posted July 19, 2003 Report Posted July 19, 2003 well dont let the newbie tittle be fooling u boys it seem that some of you are just puppys compared to how long i,ve been a member of this forum. Oh yeah!, and you've managed to accumulate a whopping 50 posts in that time. Were any of them constructive ? As MECX said there are many engineers & computer programers on this site. What is it you do that entitles you to call others puppys ? and martin if you took offence of the post then it was because you should learn to read such posting right. I have no problems reading your posts. I might have the newbie attact to my name but i dont take bullshit for any one.I bet you are terrifying to the people in your local community. He,s a big boy now, and this is a hard world, get use to it people This made me laugh :) What planet are you on ? Does your life really revolve around TRYING to act hard all the time and do you have nothing better to fill the obvious void in your life. There are many like you out there and you're not ORIGINAL. Most people just laugh at you while you carry on completely oblivious to the joke you really are. ;) :D I took offence only because I found out what I complete waste of time you were after spending my time trying to help you. In reality this has nothing to do with a hard world or being big but then again it could apply in such a way to your own small world. I have really really tried to keep this post as respectful to MoDaCo as a can and I hope that pipin can go watch a die hard movie or something to help live out his fanasty. One last thing (although its not important) but what bloody question i do answer i give the right bloody answers to The settings posted in this topic were the same that I had given you originally. Now the Vodafone have fixed their fault both myself and others have reported a working Internet connection. Its strange that you didn't comment on this or were you in danger of having to rise above your typical self.
Guest pipin Posted July 19, 2003 Report Posted July 19, 2003  martin because i have only just reached the regular status with 50 posting does not mean i have not help other memebers on this forum in fact i was helping members before you even became a member u,rself and forgotten more about the spv than you will ever learn.  When i got something to say and i know it,s right then i speak my mind weather you or anyone else dont like what i say then thats their problem. i will say this again SHOUT your settings posted on this forum does not work on my phone and about another half dozen other members phones. ;) I am highly respected within my community and am vice chairman of my local rotary club. The chairman to my local Fishing club. A life member for the society of blind people. Vice chairman at my local golfing club. And instruct and teach my local old age pensioners IT. so in answer to your question? i must be well like within my commuity for such people to have enough faith in me to carry out the positions that they bestore upon me upon me  m :twisted i will now let you sulk in your own spew and allow your faithful band of followers to jump on the band wagon and give you the encouagement you need, to stop you behaving like a spoiled brat and deleting all your posts. this will be my last posting on this site. BUT NEVER FEAR i will always be watching from the darkness.  and the next peice of software you download from anywhere on the web for your spv may have a peice of my progamming in it. :)
Guest pipin Posted July 19, 2003 Report Posted July 19, 2003 hooooray at last got my vodafone going???? but not with the settings posted on this forum. i and another member wrote ourselfs a progam and walllaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah it confirerated our phones for us and we are now happy little "in the darkness memembers" with a money spining progam for self confierating spv,s to any network. more money to throw away. :D :) :D ;) bye all and it been nice to have been a particpating member of this forum. NOW I SIT IN THE DARKNESS watching.
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted July 19, 2003 Report Posted July 19, 2003 ....this will be my last posting on this site..... Why couldn't he just stick to this plan?
Guest Mr_Protozoa Posted July 19, 2003 Report Posted July 19, 2003 Nice to see everyone's being polite and offering construtive comments.
Guest IN2THEDARKNESSWEGO Posted July 19, 2003 Report Posted July 19, 2003 and i,m the other member who help pipin write his progam whilst he will not post a reply here then i,ll say something on his behalf. You lose we win money makes the world go around and on your lot backs we are gonna make lots suckers
