Guest Sculli Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 Morning Guys and Gals.... I'm currently holed up in sunny California for 8 weeks. I don't want your sympathy though.... it's not as bad as it sounds!! My phone seems to connect to Cingular by default - I guess that this is one of Orange's preferred partners. There is no GPRS offered on this network. I can, however, manually change to AT&T Wireless, where GPRS is available. But before I go nuts with it..... I phoned Orange before I left and the wonderfully helpful girl in CS (no, really!) said that she thought GPRS in the US was charged at a flat rate of GBP 20/MB. Can anybody confirm this?! Thanks in advance, y'all....! Sculli
Guest martin Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 Yes , GPRS roaming on AT&T is (inc vat) £20.00 per megabyte
Guest nickcornaglia Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 Is TMobile available in California? They have unlimited GPRS for $20.00/month. They should be there as I believe Cingular and TMobile share their GSM Network there and in the South East....maybe others as well.
