Guest djscouserboy Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 Does anyone know of media player programme that allows you to do FF searches (like you can on a timeline on PC based Media Player) for large mp3 files on the SPV. I've got loads of DJ mixes that are typically an hour long and have to start from the start of each when I skip .... :) .... I've done a search of topics with no luck..... any ideas anyone ?
Guest Dave DR Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 yeah, i need this too.. at the moment i tent to just use MP3 splitter and make them in to 5 min files... at least then there a way of fast forwarding.. i use MVP and make a playlist and my new winamp skin.. looks cool, and works well...
Guest drblow Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 Hello m8! Welcome to the forum! I don't think any media players current have a skip/ff function unfortunately! There have been plenty of requests for one tho. Keep an eye on the forum & one becomes available this'll be the first place you see it!
Guest madu Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 PocketMVP does. Well it used to. Then the new version came out and it stopped working. I have spoken to Malloc and he said he'll be working on fixing the mp3 bug in this quality player. So far I'm in the same s**t as you are :)
Guest Posted July 17, 2003 Report Posted July 17, 2003 Another option instead of spliting the MP3 files is to use Madu's http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=884>ASX Coder. It creates a playlist with track marks at intervals that you specifiy which keeps the original MP3 intact. (Only slight prob is WMP pauses slightly between tracks).
Guest madu Posted July 17, 2003 Report Posted July 17, 2003 PS: It works a treat for WMAs but some MP3s are either corrupted coz of download or WMP does not support it correctly so it won't read some of my MP3 files after about 20 minutes :)
