Guest ericreinoso Posted July 17, 2003 Report Posted July 17, 2003 hi folks! i would like to know if it is possible to save commonly used words to a dictionary on the smartphone. i've been trying look for it but i can't find it. can anyone tell me if there is such an application we can use? Thanks! :)
Guest spv_dman Posted July 17, 2003 Report Posted July 17, 2003 There's a commercial application called Lexionary for smartphones, you can find the demo here http://www.smartphone2000.com. But I don't think it has the capability to store commonly used words, it's just a lookup for definitions.
Guest Geren Posted July 18, 2003 Report Posted July 18, 2003 Try ListPro from Iliumsoft. This program is great! They have a dictionary list available free for download. You can add your own entries in this list. You can also use this app as a Todo List w/ alarm. More than 300 lists available including quotes, food info, anatomy, conversions etc... Makes your smartphone really cool and smart. P.S. Got my software for free by submitting my own list. :) ;)
Guest mariolouis Posted July 19, 2003 Report Posted July 19, 2003 nope, listpro ain't free. it just gives a trial period.
Guest rodnav Posted July 19, 2003 Report Posted July 19, 2003 if u type something that's not in the dictionary while in dictionary mode, the entry is automatically saved. the next time u type it in it becomes an available choice. but if u turn off ur phone, this entries are automatically erased hence no longer available in the dictionary mode.
Guest Geren Posted July 19, 2003 Report Posted July 19, 2003 To marilouis Listpro can be have for free if you submit a list and it is accepted. I got mine this way. I downloaded the Trial version ( PC/Smartphone). Created a list. Submitted my list via email. When they accepted my list, they sent a reply thru email telling me how and where to download the full version. I now have a full version. All within four (4) days from my date of submission. They even have great customer support. To rodnav The Listpro PC/Smartphone version(Trial and Full), allows you to create your list thru your PC or Smartphone. PC is easier. If you wish to add your own list, or edit items on existing lists, like the Dictionary List, that's available from the website, you may edit thru your PC and save it to your smartphone.

I've experienced this before, this has something to do with a failed installation prior to, in your case, ListPro. Take a look at IPSMWindowsAppMgrInstall Delete all the files you can find in that dir and retry your installation. This should work.
Guest jabez Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 @spv_dman: Thanks, Kabayan ... I got it right after I posted the question. It's funny, I got the tip from a thread on a different problem on the Software Forum. Thanks anyway BTW, your pic looks a lot like the "Luthor" character in Smallville ... ikaw ba yun? he he he
