Voice Memo Button function

My voice-memo button doesn't work, at least it doesn't let me record voice memos. I know the actual button works cos I can get to the three colour screen and I know voice memos work cos I can do it via the menu. So why does it refuse to shortcut? :?

I've also had a thought :shock: , is it possible to assign the key to something else instead?

Any solutions welcome :)
