Help: Anyone know how to resolve this for the tanager

I have a tanager that I am trying to run the latest smartphone update.

The bootloader version i currently have installed is Canary 0.95 and I am trying to upgrade to the lastest smartphone release!. The error that i get when i am running the update is the following:

ERR 116: Smartphone Identification error.

Cannot Identify your smartphone.

The tanager in it's current state does not load beyond the 'orange screen'. so i cant even Activesynch it up!

Also, I have tries to run the orange update on the phone and that looks like it loads ok, but when i power up the phone it still does not boot beyond the orange screen!

sorry current canary version is 0.98!

Where in the world are you?

also try running the update from the canary screen instead.
