return to homescreen after finished call

Hey all

I am tired of unlocking my keypad to return to homescreen after finishing a call

is it possible to make an apps wich could solve this problem..?

looking forward to see any kind of solution.. (or an answer that tells me that it's not possible)

Don't know. Sometimes my phone will do it and sometimes it won't. I'm not sure whether it's the skin I'm using (Midnight's Reloaded) or something else. Maybe just some glitch. Hmmmm... :roll:

I believe that is the case if you have Home Timeout (Settings>4 Home) set to X minutes, I have it turned off, as I think most others

Yeah, first of all it doesn't have a counter running in background and was one of the initial tips on how to save battery and increase performance. But.. I can't think of a definite answer.. Thpugh I like it that way more. If you forgot about writing an SMS that you started next time u look at phone it's on the screen :)

okay, so from my research, when i receive a call it goes into the "call info" screen...

when the remote end terminates the call, the phone's reaction depends on the key-lock feature...

with key-lock OFF, the phone will return to the home screen

with key-lock ON, the phone will stay in the call-info screen

this is regardless of what the home screen timeout is set to in the settings area.

The new 1.6 software that will be released soon will fix this problem. After a call in blocked mode it will return to the homescreen

I think it's because the completed call screen keeps polling the phone to keep it on screen -regardless of the homescreen timeout or skin.

I've suggested a "work-around" to use xbar to take the phone to home - since xbar can still be activated with the keypad locked: so if you receive a call with the pad locked, pressing record will take you back home [so we have a solution until 1.6 comes out]. Hope that xetra or someone else can implement this.
