I recently received an update from MiTAC about the availability of the Mio 8380 Smartphone in Europe. According to MiTAC EMEA, the Mio 8380 will be available for European market end of Q3/September 2003 and launched with operators in Western Europe. The Netherlands, Belgium and France are - according to MiTAC - the "landing shore for introducing the Mio 8380". Stay tuned for more detailed information. Cheers ~ Arne
Guest sebset Posted July 18, 2003 Report Posted July 18, 2003 yes, and don't forget to find a solution to break the digital signature on the 8380... Because I want to buy a Mitac too :)
Guest keni Posted July 21, 2003 Report Posted July 21, 2003 I have to say it is by far the best Smartphone on the market at the mo, I know I had one for about two days, untill some git knicked it here in Hong Kong. If anyone wants one, let me know I'm getting a replacement shipped in in the next week or so, I can add yours to the order. K

Guest BoB-O Wireless Posted July 21, 2003 Report Posted July 21, 2003 Keni, How much is an 8380 there in HK? My bet is that you could sell quite a few of them if they have English UI. BoB

Guest midnight Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 why the hell are people talking about NOTkia's????
Guest morpheus2702 Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 Oh yes, the Nokia 6600 - the fat phone.
Guest Pagemakers Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 morpheus - Make a mock up of the 6600's size with paper (sad I know). It's not as fat as it looks!
Guest morpheus2702 Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 Physically it may not be that big, but it still looks like someone has over-inflated a 6610!
Guest victornikela Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 How much Keni? I'm VERY interested too! Does it ship with an English UI?
