Virtual dub ERROR help!...Maybe Clinteastman can help...?..

Hi ive been trying to use clint eastmans template for vitual....i load the processor settings with his file then i open my divx and this message comes up....

"Virtual dub has detected an impropper VBR audi encoding in the source AVI file and will re write the header with standard CBR values during processing for better compatibility. This may produce up to 11698 ms of scew from the video stream. If this is unacceptable decompress the *entire* audio stream to an uncompressed WAV file and recompress with a constant bit rate encoder. (bitrate 130.8 + 9.0 kbps)."

Here i click ok.....

Now i go to file and then save as AVI..... then i get this ERROR message...

"Error initializing audio stream compression:

The requested conversion is not possible."

Does anyone kno what the problem is im new tro this game so please explain in simple terms....

***UPDATE****

I have actually fixed the problem by going into audio/compression then selecting the quality from the box on the right.... shouldnt this have already been set in clinteastmans processor settings ro do you normally have to select it yourself...if so what quality do you recommend wich is not too memory demanding aswel.... thanks!
