Hi,

just got it this mornin...put the battery simcard and sd card in the phone and then put it on to charge didnt turn it on.

Left it for about an hour and a half then decided to turn it on...still charging tho....

when i turned it on the light on it was ORANGEY YELLOW.... i thought it was suppose to be green while charging?... thas what it sed in the manual...

Ok so ive turned it on...loaded up the sd card a froze for about 4mins!! on the screen which allows you to choose the programs you want...

i eventually cancelled that and got to the home screen which loaded like a web page on a very slow internet connection...should it be like that or should it display straight away not in bits...?

so i just started checking out the menu just scrolling thru and it was like 30 secs between highlighting one option and the next!!! Should it be that slow....

I then tried the sd card again and installed all explorer which took about 7 mins to install with the little coloured thing going very slowely round...but then the next stage once yoiuve selected where you want to save it...it went very quickly...is that normal??

then it just got stupidly slow so i turned it off....

left it for about 10 mins and when i turned it on the light was green and not ORANGE..... now the phone was alot faster with hardly ne probs....

I have atheory that the manual for the SPV E100 was not updated on the battery indicator bit cos they didnt put that it shud be orange when not fully charged they put that it shud be green while charging then flash green when fully charged....

Anyone whos got the E100 what colour did youir light go when you first charged it?

One problem was tho...when the light was green....(supposedly normal colour)....when i scrolling thru the menu and went to more and clicked...it would take me to something completely different like inbox....is this normal aswel..like a little buggy prob that occurs....

Ahhhh i hope these probs are normal cos i got it from onestopphoneshop.co.uk and thats gonna be hassle to exchange if there is something wrong with....

Please reply and give your experiences with the phone...so i can see if my phone is/isnt faulty!...thanks!

Rule number one don't read the manual ;) yep it should be orange when charging

More likely you are not used to the D button and instead of clicking action you actually moved down and then clicked which would take you to Inbox.

It can take time to get used to the controls, we all went through this problem so you're not alone :)

Hi,

I've had a few sim card problems recently, due to a failed upgrade. During the "short" time it took orange to fix the problem I found that the SPV was really really slow, probably due to some sim+network registration problem.

I also have the same problem when the network is having it's weekly fit down here (seriously  don't move to Canterbury if you want decent service for anything, and I mean TV, Phone, Internet, anything :!: ) meaning nobodies phones can register properly anyway.

So, maybe your sim hadn't been activated for the new phone at the point when you tried it out? :? and don't worry it's not normal for the SPV to behave that slowly - unless you live in Canterbury that is :x
