Guest smartrey Posted July 19, 2003 Report Posted July 19, 2003 Is it possible to send wav file to other mms phone using smartphone??
Guest spv_dman Posted July 19, 2003 Report Posted July 19, 2003 I tried sending a wav file using smartexplorer by Infrared to a 7650 phone >> successful. Has anyone got the MMS of smartphone to send wav files? Mine won't work.
Guest X3L_NAGA Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 you can send via infrared to nokia 3650 and 7650 but you cant send via infra to other nokia models =(
Guest mortenharkett722 Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 I think the phone converts first the wav to amr file. Though only phones with full mms can receive it. Nokias like 7210, 6610, 6100, 7250, 5510, 3510i and 3530 cann not.
Guest smartrey Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 Any software that you can recommend for the conversion from wav to amr? Thanks
Guest dinoalbert Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 have you tried using the "search" option? anyway, try this: http://www.ericsson.com/mobilityworld/sub/...s/amr_converter The Sony Ericsson AMR Converter 1.2 enables you to convert existing Wave sound files (.WAV) into Adaptive Multi-Rate (AMR) codec formats, so they can be used in your MMS scripts. The AMR Converter runs on Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, Windows 98, or Windows 2000. NOTE: The AMR Converter is a discontinued product and support is no longer provided. The WAV files must be signed as 16-bit@8kHz.

Guest smartrey Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 Thank you very much. at least i know on how to convert it using my Smartphone.
