Guest chewie Posted December 14, 2002 Report Posted December 14, 2002 When i goto programmes > settings > telephony i cannot access call barring or call waiting. i get an error which states "The settings could not be opened" Also, anyone know how i can increase the number of rings before my SPV transfers the caller to my viocemail? Cheers
Guest Bazz Posted December 14, 2002 Report Posted December 14, 2002 Works for me: Call barring has the following options: * Block incoming calls (Off/When Roaming/All Calls) * Block outgoing calls (Off/Int'l except Home/Int'l Calls/All Calls) Call Waitig has the following options: * Provide call waiting notifications (Checked/Unchecked) So these won't help you anyway.
Guest chewie Posted December 14, 2002 Report Posted December 14, 2002 Perhaps, but it is still a bitch that i cant get into them! Got an answer on how to increase the number of rings? :D
Guest magic_peanuts Posted December 14, 2002 Report Posted December 14, 2002 I had a similar problem, but then I checked it again when I knew I had a stronger signal and it worked. It failed again when I was in a weaker signal area, I'm sure it's something to do with that

Guest mashkhan Posted December 16, 2002 Report Posted December 16, 2002 I've had similar problems as well, I diverted my phone calls to my voicemail on Saturday. I switched off my phone later on in the day to give it a "reboot" anyway the divert icon had vanished! I couldn't verify the divert had been cancelled as I couldn't enter the telephony > Call forwarding option.(error downloading from network) Later on in the evening I noticed that the divert icon was again showing. I could cancel the divert this time. Anyway I suppose the point is my phone was on divert without me knowing and I could only cancel it when that bloody option would work. I have spoken to orange about this they seemed pretty clueless. So from now on I am going to have to either switch the phone/radio off to divert.
