Mio8380 rush!! (many European guys want to order a 8380)

Does anyone know what the retail price for a mio8380 is in china or Hong Kong? And is this the price you would pay from a shop there, or do they do deals/offers etc..?

I am curious as I wil be in China, Hong Kong and Thailand from the end of this week for a month.

Would the phone work on a UK network, and does anyone know whether the language can be changed to English without a rom update?

I don't know the price in HK but I am in China and the list price here is 4880 CNY which is around 588 USD without any additional tax. After some negotiation, you can get it at 550 USD.

No need to update the ROM to change the interface to English because it's an English smartphone 2002 OS already. The phone is pre-installed with a Chinese platform but you can easily switch the language back to English in Regional Settings.
