Updates to contacts/calendar not synching

Has anyone else solved a problem where updates to contacts

and calendar items are not synched back to Outlook when

returning the SPV to the cradle ?

It is as if the SPV is not recording the fact that these

items have changed.

Curiously, new and deleted SPV items are being synched

back.

Hi,

Proberly your phone settings for act sync is keep device data.

You could set this to sync device to pc and oposit.

The only problem that can occur is that you get duplicate contacts.

I have done some more testing.

Sync and undock the SPV from the PC cradle

Day 1 - Insert, delete and update calendar and contact items on the SPV

power off to save battery life

Day 2 - Insert, delete and update calendar and contact items on the SPV

return SPV to the PC cradle and Sync

Outcome is ....

All Day 2 UPDATES are NOT synchronised back to the PC.

Day 1 inserts,deletes and updates sync OK

Day 2 inserts and deletes sync OK.

Do you have any idea how powering off and on will cause all subsequent calendar/contact updates to be lost ? If so, any solution other than don't power off or don't update these items after the power off ?

I was going to suggest a Hard Reset but as that's already been tried HERE You could also try reinstalling Activsync.

There is a bug in Activsync that makes it not recognise calender changes,

ie if you change the time of an appointment on the phone Activsync will not notice the change.

So this could be related.
