Guest Tomas Kocanda Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 I tried to synchronize my SP (e100) with a PC outlook. Then returned to previous state (no synchronisation as I´m using separate e-mail adresse for my smartphone) but noticed, that even when I reconfigured it back and deleted messages, folders structure in the INBOX is the same as was on the PC and I have no idea, how I can delete those empty folders for messages. Any ideas?
Guest Machineman Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 Hi welcome, I searched on my phone to see if there are folders but there are not. So far as I can imagine the only option is a hard reset. Make sure you back up all the data you want to restore. calender contacts in outlook. Personal files on your SD card. It must work like this a bit agressive but that is the only way I know. CU m8
Guest Tomas Kocanda Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 I was thinking about it, how to do it without hard reset and backup pain etc... Solution was quite easy:- - I created totally new profile in my Outlook on the PC, one e-mail and "default" structure of folders - I enabled inbox synchronisation in the Active Sync software - Synchronised it once with correct options - disabled inbox synchronisation - in SP e-mail options reconfigured back to not use active sync but and messages not deleted - my folders structure is now as original without need to hard reset it. I don´t understand, how is possible, that they does not allow even basic manipulation with the files/folders in the inbox application. Create/delete folders and move messages in the folders seems like "basic" functionality for any device like this....
Guest Machineman Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 Ah much better without a hard reset. I got also probs with syncing email I disabeld it just after I got the phone because if it is enabeld I could not hot sync. Cu M8
