Guest Firaas Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 Phone manufacturer Sendo has withdrawn from the much-hyped-about lawsuit that it initiated against Orange earlier this year. It coincided with its announcement that it had entered into a patent licensing agreement with Texas Instruments - the original makers of the SmartPhone Compal reference design. Texas Instruments, The Inquirer said, have a close relationship with Orange, and this may have hinted Sendo towards withdrawing the action. The Inquirer claims that Texas Instruments shall work with Sendo on OMAP based Smartphones, but that this agreement shall not affect Sendo's legal action against Microsoft, as announced earlier this year. Sendo agreed to contribute to Orange's legal costs. http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=10603 for the full story.
