Guest strangechild Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 Hi... first post! My new E100 arrived this morning and I've spent most of the day finding cool stuff for it. Thanks, the guy who did the b3ta theme - loving your work! I've also downloaded PocketMVP. I'm planning on ordering a 256MB SD card once I can find one at the right price - any tips most welcome - but at the moment I'm using the 8MB one that came with it. So I wanted the smallest possible audio file size. I spent quite a long time finding this so I thought I should share it, it's a free Ogg encoder for Windows: http://www.thekompany.com/projects/tkcoggripper/ The download link on that page just takes you to a directory which includes several versions, including Linux versions, so for ease of use here are the direct links to the Windows versions: Win 9x/Me NT/2000/XP Enjoy!
Guest James Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 welcome to the site..... have a look on ebay for 256 meg SD cards or look on www.ebuyer.com i suggest using VirtualDub for encoding AVI DivX files for you phone. have you app-unlocked your phone yet?
Guest strangechild Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 jlowap - and especially mods - I must apologise, I carded your last post by mistake! I was looking for the "Reply" button, sorry. I found the Kingmax on ebuyer, which was cheap, but seemed to have bad reviews. Should I go for the PQI, which seemed to be better reviewed? Or is there really no difference? My phone is app-unlocked now, and I'm just trawling the net for stuff to fill it with.
Guest James Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 PQI are very good, we uses them in a VERY important application here at work. i have a SanDisk, i have heard 1 or 2 bad stories about them. but mine have been fine. software: try looking on www.monolithix.org for loads of stuff!!!!
Guest Matt Whitfield Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 I've got a 128MB Lexar jobby, never heard of them before but it's working fine for me - got a bargain in Dixons at Gatwick. I thought SanDisk were supposed to be the best? Toshiba are part of the group that produce them...
Guest Matt Whitfield Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 BARGIN!! at DIXONS! never! Normally I would entirely agree although because they'd labelled the 128MB cards as the same price as the 64MB cards they let me have a 128MB card for the price of a 64MB one :-D
Guest Matt Whitfield Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 Can't remember to be honest... alhough the 64MB price wasn't cheap for a 64MB card but it certainly was for a 128MB!
