Guest Crispy Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 Ok, first of all sorry if this has been asked millions of times before. So, the question is as the title says: Decertified SP2002 roms - where to get 'em! ... Now you may all say, why don't u just use OTA??? ... An I'll tell ya why! ... Most of you know the "reset-bug" that SP2002 has, which as a side-effect turns that it certification back on. Well, guess who's phone resetted itself on the first day of a 14 day vacation in the middle of nowhere! ... Thats right! MINE! ... So, are there any places where one can download a generic SP2002 rom? ... And what version might such a rom be? ... If not, what about using Smart Amazing phone updates? Or I-mate updates? ... Will they work on my Canary? ... I read some posts about the SAP updates Sim-locking the phone to smart and again something about it requiring to be sim-locked to smart to be updated at all ... Are there any solutions to this? ... Or did I write all of this in vain?
Guest Gorskar Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 You can download the first danish update from mono's site then apply the first uk update (you will need the trick mentioned here ), and decertify using Will's decertification tool.
