SPV Freezes on the Orange Sunset On booting

Hello Fellow SPV'ians;

I love my phone as i assume do you but today i experienced a fault i have never read about before.

i was copying some *.wma files to my storage card (for listening to at work) and when they had completed copying i took my phone from the cradle and turned it off...

Now when i turn on the phone i get nothing but the Orange Sunset displaying and nothin else... :shock:

Is anyone else experiencing this problem and / or know if it is a fault and / or how to resolve...

Desperately needing your help, I cant face another day at work without my phone, I will actually have to work!!!! :shock:

I am new to the SPV and so appolgies if i appear a little stupid..

Have you tried to hard reset your phone?

BTW: you are using the update from orange right?

I have tried updating using the orange update but the problem is cannot send text.. do you have problem sending text using your tanager?

I think the Orange update reads what your network setting is, hence, text messages can't be sent. I have already tried the Orange update with Hong Kong: Sunday; Philippines: Smart, Globe, Sun; US: Cingular, T-Mobile. Same results - no SMS capability.
