Hi,

First, SPV is App unlocked and all other non-signed apps are still working. I tried to download and install from mobile/orneta site, got the error message that installation failed because the program does not have adequate system permissions. Also tried the PC setup, same result. Rebooted and tried again, same. Any ideas what could be causing this? Oh, I'm trying to install to the SD card which has about 2meg free space, but that should be enough, right?

Thanks

Well if your phone is app unlocked, try and check this folder with Smart Explorer: IPSM // Windows // AppMgr // Install

And delete anything that might be in the Install folder.

And now try again.

Thanks for your reply; there's quite a lot in that folder, you suggest to delete everything :?: I thought this folder was related to uninstalling software :?:

Delete it all - its files from failed installs that fills up your IPSM

Yeah, just deleted all files; tried to re-install Orneta Notepad....DaMN same error message :!: :?: :?: Going to try a restart and try once more...

EDIT - Nope, failed again. :) Wonder if it's a bad cab file or a signing issue...clueless here.

If you get the cabfile from the official website, it really should be alright.

Alternatively you can try the setup file that's run from the PC.

Ok, good to know someone else had the problem, but did you resolve it?

Some input from Orneta would be useful :?:

My SPV is manually de-certed, UK1 Update. I wonder if an unsigned version would work...anyone got such a thing?

No I didn't resolve it I just use an older version.

I have had the same thing recently with Pocket Slideshow demo.

I am happy with the way my SPV is running under the DK update so I am reluctant to try the latest UK update and OTA unlock to see if that would resolve these problems.

davy.
