Guest nickcornaglia Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 Doesnt seem that much bigger than the Tanager...but it looks smaller than the Mitac! Revised picture to include a BAD picture of the Mitac...but it's the only one I could find that was somewhat facing forward. The bottom of the Mitac may be closer to the camera and it may be a bit exagerated at the bottom...but I would think it's close. I dunno! (I didnt mean to report it to the mods...sorry.)diff.gif
Guest MECX Posted July 25, 2003 Report Posted July 25, 2003 yeh the mio looks huge that motorola looks pritty sweet tho---always thought those phones were nice with cr*p software but maybe it was because i had one of there bricks :) [Edited by Will - language even missspelt is too strong!]
Guest idavid Posted July 26, 2003 Report Posted July 26, 2003 the number of times i swore to myself that i would never buy another motorola. i used to have a startac! filthy phone. had it replaced by orange care on a weekly basis, and oh my god that old operating system! but this one looks pretty good... :)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted July 26, 2003 Report Posted July 26, 2003 I still have a startac in a draw somewhere, I'll try and sell it as an antique :)
Guest fraser Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 Why not compare the closed size of a clam-shell phone? Size matters when it's in your pocket...
Guest spacemonkey Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 Why not compare the closed size of a clam-shell phone? Size matters when it's in your pocket... Quite right, the main gain with clamshells is the fact that it can be nice and big when you are using it but nice and small in your pocket.
Guest nickcornaglia Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 I used the open phones so I could scale each pic by referencing the screen which is most likely consistent. The flip phones both seem smaller in height but the mitac appears to be thicker when closed. Not sure about the motorola, though. In your pocket is one thing. But it took time for me to get used to talking on my SPV after using a little T68 for some time. It's all relative and subjective, I guess. Maybe even another "tive" that I cant think of as well! :)
Guest PeeWee Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 I see one of them flip phones and it was HUGE. I dont think i'd use it.
Guest squall Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 yah its like that nokia 7650, fine until you open it
Guest PeeWee Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 I really like that phone. I was thinking about buying it, untill i got this one, that is.
Guest skimask Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 the MOtorola is avery decent size, about the same size as a Motorola T720
Guest victor_RUS Posted September 14, 2003 Report Posted September 14, 2003 I have both - Mio and SPV. It is impossible to input any data using SPV keyboard, with Mio - no problem!
Guest Brody Posted September 14, 2003 Report Posted September 14, 2003 e100 keypad is much improved though victor_RUS... Look at the comparison picture...
