Guest chatfield Posted July 25, 2003 Report Posted July 25, 2003 hi, any one out there know how to get the main memory of the orange spv being the data card not the phone memory?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted July 25, 2003 Report Posted July 25, 2003 Not sure what you mean? if you mean for storage, then when you install most apps you will get a choice of where you want to install it. If you are refering to available physical memory (same as ram on a PC) then no you can't. PS Welcome to the site :)
Guest MECX Posted July 25, 2003 Report Posted July 25, 2003 if you mean getting the amount of space left on your SD card (not the internal memory) there is a test tool by Orneta that does this. cant remember a link at the mo tho
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted July 26, 2003 Report Posted July 26, 2003 Or click on Task Manager this will show you the space you have on the phone.
Guest chatfield Posted July 26, 2003 Report Posted July 26, 2003 what it is, is when i put things from my pc to my phone, it says not enough space, it doe's not give me any options of where to save it. it did at first but after that no more chances.
Guest chatfield Posted July 26, 2003 Report Posted July 26, 2003 games and task manager and sounds, it brings up the screen when is says the phone on has 0.2kb left and the file is 420 kb do you wish to continue or cancel, if you press continue, after some seconds, it says not enough space and closes. it does not give you the option of where to save it. :?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted July 26, 2003 Report Posted July 26, 2003 Ok it sounds like your IPSM is a little bit too full, this could be because you have previously install to many apps on the phone. If you have a file manager on the phone got to IPSMWindowsAppMgrInstall and delete what you find there, also do you have a lot of emailssent sms on the phone? if so it's best to remove them, to do this via Activsyc go to IPSMMAPI and delete the contents of the folder Finaly try deleting any apps you have installed on the phone, to do this go to ProgramsSettingsRemove Programs
Guest chatfield Posted July 26, 2003 Report Posted July 26, 2003 yeah that seems to have done the job, deleted my e-mails and texts, through the phone and desktop. silly when you think about it, it makes sense i just needed someone to verify it for me. Cheers :)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted July 26, 2003 Report Posted July 26, 2003 Glad you have got somewhere :) How much space do you have free now? It should be around 5+MB
