Guest randy Posted July 26, 2003 Report Posted July 26, 2003 i noticed that it's trying to make a data call even if im not doing anything. i didn't notice it before until i ran out of load last night (im using prepaid). see attached pix. what i did was i took it from IPSMWindowsStartup and moved it to a temporary folder. i also removed LaunchSTK.lnk coz i never use it. and when i restarted my phone, i got around 500k of additional memory. buti na lang naubos load ko. :) ;) if you're not using it, you better remove it too. ditto for the shortcuts on the start menu. ~randydatacall1.gifdatacall2.gif
Guest mapaman Posted July 26, 2003 Report Posted July 26, 2003 You may want to read here first about what Action Lock does: http://www.actionengine.com/Products/ActionLock.asp
Guest randy Posted July 26, 2003 Report Posted July 26, 2003 im so stupid. i didn't research for it first before posting. anyway, tnx mapaman for the link. interesting. though i still don't need their service. ubos lang load ko sa kanila. :) besides, if someone stole my phone or i lost it, he can do still do a hard reset and override what action lock did.
Guest grifter Posted July 27, 2003 Report Posted July 27, 2003 at least he won't have access to your data after he hard resets.
