I was wondering if there was anyway to eventually view user statistics on this site? I would think this information would help discussions on this site as well as help developers, advertisers, network providers, etc.

User Age Groups

Data protection issues I would imagine, but a voluntary survey would be possible...

I thought about a poll. But that information would vary and be dated somewhat quickly as the site grows, as more phones come out, as users switch networks (or even genders! :shock: ).

It would be cool if those fields were in user's profiles with the question of wether or not they would like to keep that info private. This way...the information is listed site wide...not per individual...so no confidences broken there....but the statistics are still available.

Even though the data would only be as good as the honesty of the answers...I would think it would be a benefit for all of the reasons listed above.
