Guest The PocketTV Team Posted July 27, 2003 Report Posted July 27, 2003 In case you missed it... PocketMovies.net now provides free downloads of video clips (movie trailers, independent films, animations etc...) in a format optimized for Smartphone (MPEG 176x112). http://www.pocketmovies.net/ To play MPEG movie files, you can use PocketTV Classic (free from http://www.pockettv.com ).
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted July 27, 2003 Report Posted July 27, 2003 Can you give a link to the relevent part please? as I don't seem to be able to find it at the moment only pocket PC clips. have not been to that site for a while.
Guest The PocketTV Team Posted July 27, 2003 Report Posted July 27, 2003 Click on a (recently added) movie clip, and you will have the choice to get the Smartphone version. For example, here is the "movie of the week", Hellweek: http://pocketmovies.net/detail_279.html To get the Smartphone version, download: MPEG-1 @ 176*112
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted July 27, 2003 Report Posted July 27, 2003 That's one I did not look at  I was looking at the Watch Out in the 3D animation as I liked that one from when it was first shown :)
Guest The PocketTV Team Posted July 27, 2003 Report Posted July 27, 2003 All clips added since last month are available in Smartphone-optimized format. For older clips, you would have to contact Jerome, the PocketMovies.net webmaster ( [email protected] ), and nicely ask him if he can provide them in Smartphone format.
Guest morpheus2702 Posted July 28, 2003 Report Posted July 28, 2003 With regard to Smartphone movies, was the audio codec ever resolved in the latest version of Windows Media Encoder? If I recall v9 gave no suitable codec, and overwrote previous versions of Encoder?
Guest morpheus2702 Posted July 28, 2003 Report Posted July 28, 2003 sorry double post... ignore this!
Guest mattscholey Posted August 8, 2003 Report Posted August 8, 2003 Its actually very easy to make any video file into a Smartphone optimized format yourself, using a very good, and free piece of software. Go to http://forum.pocketmovies.net/viewtopic.ph...php?p=3415#3415 for the guide on how to do it. Hope this helps, Matt
