PocketMovies.net now provides free downloads of video clips (movie trailers, independent films, animations etc...) in a format optimized for Smartphone (MPEG 176x112).

Click on a (recently added) movie clip, and you will have the choice to get the Smartphone version.

For example, here is the "movie of the week", Hellweek:

I was looking at the Watch Out in the 3D animation as I liked that one from when

it was first shown :)

All clips added since last month are available in Smartphone-optimized format.

For older clips, you would have to contact Jerome, the PocketMovies.net webmaster ( [email protected] ), and nicely ask him if he can provide them in Smartphone format.

With regard to Smartphone movies, was the audio codec ever resolved in the latest version of Windows Media Encoder? If I recall v9 gave no suitable codec, and overwrote previous versions of Encoder?

Its actually very easy to make any video file into a Smartphone optimized format yourself, using a very good, and free piece of software.
