Guest martinthedog Posted July 28, 2003 Report Posted July 28, 2003 Can anyone advise if it's possible to get my spv (build 13121.0) to remove email messages from my pop3 server once they have been downloaded? :?
Guest SiDHEaD Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 Mine does - and i wish it wouldn't. Is it because i am deleting them from inbox?
Guest martinthedog Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 I don't think so as I've tried deleting them from my inbox and then deleting them from my deleted items folder but when I then do a Send/Receive they get downloaded again! It is really pi*&%ng me off.
Guest nickcornaglia Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 When you delete emails on your phone...leave them in the deleted items folder. The next time you replicate, they will be deleted. (The deleted items will disappear too!) If you delete them from your phone AND remove them from your deleted items folder before you replicate, it will download them again next time you send and receive.
Guest SiDHEaD Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 The original question was regarding removal from the POP3 server not the host on the activesync. The deleted items should not play a part AFAIK?
Guest nickcornaglia Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 And that was my response. I don't use ActiveSync email on my phone/pc. I only use POP3 email on my phone sync'd to a server via GPRS. I know the solution above works...at least for me it does. (And I'm sure many others). :)
Guest SiDHEaD Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 Ok i misunderstood, DOH. Still doesnt explain why mine removes from the POP3 server...
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 Have a look in InBoxMenuOptionsReceiving and lower the ammount of bytes you receive.
