The Internet software technology is likely to be used in a number of future products including smartphones, personal digital assistants (PDAs) and car navigation systems, Panasonic said. Picsel embedded technology supports video, Microsoft Office, PDF, HTML, Flash, ordinary text and standard image formats, the firm said. ยต

Guest fraser Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 "embedded"? It looks as if they are just provisioning the card with software before shipping. Don't you just love press releases? On the other hand, I hear Picsels software is pretty good. Makes the concept of converting files a lot simpler, it's like a multi-format viewer that can take plugins for loads of different file types. Would solve the pdf/excel viewer question that gets asked every couple of weeks or so.
