SD Card restoration?

Hi all,

Is there a recovery tool or hardware I can get to restore files from an SD card used to store pictures from my SPV??

Went on holiday and took loads of ACE pics using my SPV. I stored all the pics on my 128meg SD card. One day I removed the card and when I replaced it, the SPV asked me if I wanted to format the card so the SPV could use it. I thought this was a bit funny but pressed 'yes'.

No I find all my pictures have disapeared!!! Help how do I get them back!!

Any advise welcome.

Welcome to the site :)

Two things you need to fix your problem,

1, Get hold of a file recovery app for you PC (I recommend Final Data, used it plenty of times but costs about £60 :o)

2, Get hold of a card reader for the PC (this will cost about £10)

If you do this and in the meantime do not write anything to the card you should be able to recover the pictures.

I'll grab a card reader.

I've got a pretty good system restore prog, so hopefully I can fix it all now.

Unfortunately I think I did add another picture to the card since I lost the data so that may make things dificult or not possible going on what you mentioned.

But at least I know what hardware to get in case it happens in the future.
