Hi! i have installed all my applications in my storage card. problem is i cant see even just one of them in settings/add remove programs. This was not the case when i first installed them, i can see all of them there. i just noticed this a couple of days ago. now, i dont know how i could remove the applications i have installed. i have tried to reinstall some of them so that it would overwrite the previous ones but this only works for the .cab files and never seem to work on the .exe files. it is also very tedious to do that one by one. Im thinking of just doing a hard reset, i have used active backup but i dont wanna lose my messages, since i cant seem to synchronize it with my outlook, and i dont have a backup for that. Does anyone here has the same problem? Or does anyone know of a registry tweak so that i could try to edit that? thanks so much for your help! 8) :o :)

something probably happened to your registry. AFAIK, all uninstall info is stored in the registry.

backing up your sms (contacts and calendar) is easy but tedious. here are the steps.

1. explore your /ipsm folder via async

2. rename cemail.vol to cemail.bak (or something else, this is your sms file. you can also rename mxip_initdb.vol and mxip_lang.vol as these are your calendar and contacts)

3. remove usb cable, reboot phone

4. reconnect to async and explore /ipsm again. (sometimes async won't establish a connection, this is weird but normal. just reboot your phone 1 more time)

5. copy the 3 files you renamed to your pc. (new files have been created and you will notice that your inbox, contacts, and calendar are empty)

6. hard reset phone

7. explore /ipsm via async again

8. rename the 3 .vol files to .bak2

9. copy the 3 .bak files (the files you copied to your pc before you did hard reset)

10. rename the 3 .bak files back to .vol

11. reboot the phone. after reboot you should see all contacts, calendar and sms back in place.

12. delete the .bak2 files (these are just wasting memory space)

TADA! that wasn't so hard was it? :)

Happened to me too. Though nobody answered. ;( Anyway, it seems that this happens when you have too many apps installed. Wouldn't hurt to try this method. It worked for me.

1. Connect the phone to your PC.

2. Go to the C:Program FilesMicrosoft ActiveSync folder and run CeAppMgr.exe. It should display the applications that are installed on your phone.

3. Remove some of the applications.

4. Disconnect your phone.

5. Check again your Settings> Remove Programs menu. Your remaining apps should be showing (hopefully).

Good luck!

Or, you can install them again so that you can then remove them completely afterwards...
