ringtone creating

hi im at the moment creating some ringtones however i dont want the ringtones being large in file size so i used win media encoder just as i do for my music and videos for my spv. the convertion settings shrinks a full mp3 around 7mb into less than a meg. however spv will not detect the file that i have converted into wma why is this? i have put it in the ipsm/app data/sounds folder any ideas anyone?

The files will need to be in WAV format for the phone to recognise them.

You will have to use WME to re-encode them as WAV.

I use Soundforge to convert mine.
