hi there just got a few questions i need clearing up.

1.) ive had my spv e100 replaced by orange, tried to do the OTA de cert with the new replacement and it is saying that the imei number does not match the phone number???? wot to do?

2.)can you use the same sim car dswop trick with the e100 as ou can the original spv to allow any sim?

3.) will anybody be modifying the unlock program to work with the spv e100 1.5 rom version? to save messing arond changing the rom version?

Hi tomdbomb61 heres a few answers for you:

1) When it tells you they don't match, try again and eventually, you'll get to another page with some numbered items on it. I think item number 2 has an application called ActionRegister (a "cab" file) that you need to download, copy to your SPV, install and then run. This then allows you to register your IMEI and telephone number combination

2) Are you referring to the "trick" where you put in your Orange card, power on the phone with external power, wait for it to start up and then switch the SIM cards? If so, this "hole" has been blocked from the first round of major updates. It's a bit more convoluted no, but look this link to SIM unlock your phone

3) Sorry - no idea on this one - but would like to know :)

1. Que?!?!? I couldn't find that page - or it was down on the day i tried. Had to do it the old manual way - much more satisifying when you unlock it as it feels as though you now deserve to put unsigned apps on your phone!!! Happy to help on this

2. Like Hax said - use the programme

3. Que?!?!?! Unlock the sim or the phone for unsigned apps - if the latter then I've not heard of this. Did you upgrade to 1.5 rom??!?! If so are you in the UK, because I thought this was a silly move

no the ORANGE e100 comes with rom 1.5.

you cant just use the unlock program without changing your rom version down, which im not goin to do as ive already wrecked 2 e100s lol.

i mean will anybody be able to modify the unlock programme to work with rom 1.5??????

you dont need to change the whole ROM, just the bootloader. Try downloading version 0.92 (some french site has it - see here)

You will need a card reader on your computer and a copy of winhex.

Or find someone with an older bootloader and get a copy of it on SD via USBterm :)
