Guest matthewjames Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 Hi, I wondered if anyone knew roughly how long i could expect the battery to last if used for playing movies and MP3's - i'm going on a long (5 hour plus) coach journey and want to use my SPV instead of taking a dedicated MP3 player. Thanks Matthew
Guest squall Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 using it none stop for about 3-4 hours id say, with the backlight on.
Guest matthewjames Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 Thanks Ian. I was kinda thinking along those lines! Matthew
Guest JoelRae Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 If you aren't expecting any calls etc then switching to "radio off" might help conserve some power for your trip

Guest MECX Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 i had the MP3 player running all the way from newcastle to norwich in the car approx 5 hours. still had battery left so maybe 6hours or over (with the volume down low through car stereo) :)
Guest DMF Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 These things have a built in Radio TOO !!!! ??
Guest JoelRae Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 These things have a built in Radio TOO !!!! ?? :) sorry buddy, no such luck  "Radio Off" is also known as aeroplane mode ... basically it switches off all the phone functionality of the handset, making it into a pda / mp3 player etc. so you can use it on planes. The by-product of not constantly checking the phone network etc. is an increase in battery life :o
