Guest Simon Desser Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 "Your Smartphone Has Received A New Text Message, Would You Like To Read It Now" I made this text alert the other week using synthesized speech, and then running it through a Vocoder 8) At the time, I thought it was a bit naff, but my mate just heard it, and loved it, so I thought I'd share it with you :) I could make it say whatever you wanted if anyone likes it :?:Text alert vocoded.zip

Guest Simon Desser Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 :) cool!! Did you use the AnalogX tools Simon? No, I've never got AnalogX tools to "Speak clearly enough" :P but the sound is great, I sometimes use them for "abstract sounds". I used Text Aloud mp3 to say the phrase, then Sound Forge and various filters and vocoder to create the sound :o

Guest chippy Posted August 10, 2003 Report Posted August 10, 2003 I am new to the forum and the smartphone. I have downloaded the vocoded alerts can you tell me how to load them to the phone and where to put them. Text alert, voicemail, email, low battery and text. Thanks :) :o
Guest fraser Posted August 11, 2003 Report Posted August 11, 2003 Put them in /IPSM/Application Data/Sounds. The Sounds directory might not exist already, so you might need to make a new folder and rename it to "Sounds". (no quotes).
