Guest Third_of_Five Posted November 24, 2002 Report Posted November 24, 2002 [Edited by Site Admin, thanks for the submission Third of Five!] SYMPTOM: Sometime the phone returns an 'out of memory' (not enough space) error when trying to save a captured picture. My device has 3.5mb memory and 3.5mb storage free. A saved picture is only 23kb (ish). I do have 1 saved captured picture in memory already, so this iss the second picture I am trying to save. RESOLUTION: None Known
Guest Gunslinger Posted December 3, 2002 Report Posted December 3, 2002 I have the same problem. When attempting to save a picture at the highest resolution the following error appears: Error. Not enough storage available. Saving operation will be aborted. When taking a picture at a lower resolution they save fine. Card memory available storage: 5.61MB Phone Available Memory: 6.16MB Any ideas? baffles me! :?
Guest Bazz Posted December 3, 2002 Report Posted December 3, 2002 Just a question, but is that available storage or available memory?
Guest Gunslinger Posted December 3, 2002 Report Posted December 3, 2002 This is how it reads on the phone about screen: Available storage: 5.46MB Total Storage:7.50MB Available Memory:5.6MB Total Memory:11.82MB
Guest mashkhan Posted December 4, 2002 Report Posted December 4, 2002 The probelm is the About screen only shows you memory for the phone. When a picture is taken by the camera it puts it on the storage card, the way to get round this is to copy the pic's on your storage card to the IPSM memory on the phone. Best way is to use a pc. alternatively use all explorer program that came on the SD card. Incidentally you can check the memory of your storage card from here as well
