Hey there,

I just bought my SPV (bought it on Sunday on ebay, arrived Tuesday) and i'd like to thank the people who sort out other peoples problems on here.

Within five minutes of gettin the box open i had SIMunlocked the phone and had my o2 runnin and then when i got back from work (nipped home at dinner to get my new toy lol) i tried decertin it. Of course the phone was runnin a real old version of the software so i had to download the update. I then had the wonderful experience of the computer crashin (thanks Bill) in the middle of the upgrade! So there i am sitting here, a few hours after receivin my phone, with a three color canary screen... no boot... nothing..

Talk about brown trousers time lol.

Well thanks to the people on here i found the solution and completed the update. Then used the decert tool to copy the file back to the phone for me...

I am now sorted.

I have a few Qs tho.

1- When you make themes etc, can u change the color of the font on the homepage? ie. the network provider, email & sms etc.. I have seen talk about not being able to change the actual font, but not about the color (with darker homepage pics u can't read anything)

2- Was £140 a good deal for my phone? No contract, i have P&G sim in... came with USB car charger, another USB sychin cable and a leather case...

3- Why can't i shift this headache?

4- What is the max size SD card it'll take and can i use MMC?

1, Yes but don't ask me :o I've never really got into making backgrounds :ooops:

2, Not a bad price, did you get the camera as well?

3, Try Anadin Extra :)

4, Any that is available including the 1GB cards when they get released

(according to the press seminar that was held when the phone was first

released), also if you get a card go for the largest one you can afford, but

stick with SD as they are better, faster etc

I haven't actually read on the box what i was supposed to get, but i got the phone, leather case, USB cradle with power thing, seperate USB synchin cable, USB car charger, camera and 8mb SD... I am using the 128mb SD card outta my digicam at the minute but i am gonna have to get a replacement as i miss my camera already...

There is a white text scheme in Customization that I saw the other day. Should be on the first or second page. If you cant find it search for white text.

Just put it into your IPSM/Application Data/Home folder and under settings>home screen....choose it as your color scheme.
