My Jabra Bluetooth headset has arrived, courtesy of those great guys at smartphones.org.uk, priced at £79.99.

Below are a few pics to whet your appetite, i'll be putting a full review up soon.

Initial impressions.... NICE!

Compact, nice belt clip, very comfortable to wear.... watch this space :)

really nice

but the bad thing abt it, it that you'll have to put that headset place stuck to the phone....

... and no option of stereo audio I guess :)

I had this set when I had a Nokia 6310, it worked beautifully as a Bluetooth headset and I no problems with it whatsoever. The real bummer is that I sold it on ebay when I discovered that the SPV didn't have Bluetooth :o Luckily I made a profit as I only paid £20, special offer from Orange, sold it for £55 :)

The guy on the box looks really happy to be using it...that's good enough for me! I'm Sold!

It's actually surprisingly comfortable and pretty light IMO.

I had the same model but for other 2.5mm jack phones.

I got rid of it because it didn't answer the phone when I pressed the button. Does this model do that?

Clarity was pretty good and the other people say they heard me well, though they could tell I was on a headset.

I think the novelty has worn out for me. waiting for my retractable headset to come in the mail...that should work just fine for me. And I don't need to recharge it!

You can answer the phone from it, but not hang up (and that's a flaw in the Smartphone OS!)

I was in the orange shop where i live (luton) last weekend (when i got my SPV) and he just looked confused when he looked at my SPV. I dont think he knew what he was doin.

I asked if i could use a new Sim card (orange) in it and he just shruged and said "i dont think so" :)

I'll have a look in the MK and london one next time i'm there.

I set mine up so I can answer the phone with the headset, but I can't remember how I did it!? I found out how through searching the web... Sounds like Paul knows... Maybe he'll include that in his review? For some reason it takes a while for my phone to answer it through the headset though??? I swear it worked pretty quick the first few times I did it though (but I could be imagining that!).

I've been using mine for a few months now and I really like it. I just installed the Fonix Voice Dial Trial on my phone too, so I'll see how that works with it!

You need to stick the stylus in the hole for 12 seconds, the blue LED flashes 4 times, then button emulation mode is active.

The answer is immediate on mine, even when the unit is on your ear and powered off.

I'm going to have a play with Fonix, and give it a few days trial, hence no full review just yet ;-)

Is there a specific version of it that i need to get it to work with the SPV?

Of the headset?

Yes, you need to buy the specific headset designed for the SPV / XDA models...

anyone know if you can buy just the base unit. I have been on at Jabra to get some info on the smartphone versiopn since last november when I first got the SPV. I have the latest BT200 supporting handsfree and headset profiles but no base to plug into my spv.....dont really want to have to buy another. BTW I like bluetooth so much it is the reason my SPV has been consigned to my 'second' phone, as someoene else said once you have used Bluetooth if your main use of your phone is for phone calls (strange but I know a lot of people's doesnt seem to be) then you will find it hard to do without....

Just to let you know mobilefun.co.uk can sell you one by bank transfer.

http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/1842.htm

just follow the normal payment process as if your are paying by credit card. The follow the non credit card instructions at the top of the screen for bank transfer.

Hope this helps
