Guest awarner [MVP] Posted August 1, 2003 Report Posted August 1, 2003 OK a couple of questions first. What bootloader version do you have? Have you terminated Wcescomm in Task Manager on thr PC?
Guest hanskanis Posted August 1, 2003 Report Posted August 1, 2003 Yes i have shut down activesync/wcescomm i'm using the orange update from the monolithix website
Guest PeeWee Posted August 1, 2003 Report Posted August 1, 2003 have you made sure the SD card is not in the phone?
Guest hanskanis Posted August 1, 2003 Report Posted August 1, 2003 Yep no sd card in the phone or a sim card
Guest martin Posted August 1, 2003 Report Posted August 1, 2003 Its a mystery hanskanis :? These are the instructions that I followed when unlocking. http://lifeetc.org/unlock.php If you have DEFINATETLY Used WIN200/XP Taken THE SD card out Entered the Tri-colour canary screen Ended the process WCESCOMM in the PC's Task Manager Processes using Ctrl+Alt+delete to enter the menu. Then it should work. On the SPV's canary screen does the screen text change from Serial to USB when the SPV is inserted into the cradle ? What version of software is your SPV running ? Can't think of anything else.
Guest hanskanis Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 I'm using Smartphone 2002 i'm totally lost here, did everything you guys posted on here but nothing seems to be working for me
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 I'm using Smartphone 2002 Martin means do you have Winsows 2000 or XP? The phone will have Smartphone 2002 as that's all there is at the moment :)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted August 4, 2003 Report Posted August 4, 2003 Have you tried re-booting the PC, also as a guess do you have a firewall installed? if so try disabling it. Also Yes i have shut down activesync/wcescomm[wcescomm] Is it only the wccescomm.exe file you are shutting down? Finaly where in the world are you? as there may be a member close to your location that might be able to give a hand.
