I'm trying ROM update 1.50.6.1 (qtek 7070)

hi!

I just get my qtek flash up to rom v 1.50.6.1

My phone now looks like this:

Smartphone 2002

Version 3.0, build 13121

Radio version 1.33.10

ROM update version:

Operator: 1.50.6.1

Manufacturer: 1.50.6.1

Microsoft: 3.0.3121.0

Language: 1.50.6.1

File system: 3.0.13121.0

I’ll try to post the differences on this and the:

Smartphone 2002

Version 3.0, built 13037

Radio version .1.30.00

ROM update version:

Operator: 1.4.1.64

Manufactor: 1.4.1.64

Microsoft: 3.0.3037.0

Language: 1.4.1.64

File system: 3.0.13037

The only problem is that I did not have the qtek more then 14 days before I did the upgrade so I hope you all feel free to add more differences if you have the same upgrade!

If there is somthing you would like me too check if it have been fixed on the new relese pleas put a post here and I'll check it out..

The first thing I see is that there is an “letter” counter in the sms section. This was there before too but now I can choose from my “contacts” before I start writing the sms and the counter is still working..

It seems like my phone is a little bit faster..

I've get it from the firm in norway that imports the qtek to norway on one condition:

I had to guaranty that I NOT DID PAS IT TO OTHERS.. :shock: :cry:

SO PLEAS DON’T ASK ME.. :?

The ROM is a test rom, and if they don’t lie to me, it should not be out on the market for real yet.. :?: :oops:

I got by call/email/sms the director 10 times every day over a week period. LOL

The thing is in Norway they have decided that upgrades should be done by the imp and not by the user. The reason to this is (quote) “is doesn’t matter how easy it is, there is always somebody that do it wrong, and that makes a lot of extra work”. But I used to be a siemens user (sl45i, s55 and so on) and is used to do FW upgrades so after some time a manage to convince them that I can do it. (and it really was EASY).

So I haven’t sign anything, other then with voice, but I really don’t wont to break the promise because I’m afraid that they don’t let me do it self next time.. :roll:

If I’m playing my cards right I might get the newest ROM next time it’s out too. :wink:

So this way I’m so f.. strict.. :twisted: :shock:

I am using an Orange SPV in UK and have obtained the SAP 1.50# ROM update, If i install this will I have any problems....

Quite a few have done this without problems but it's not advised as each countries updates have their own settings etc.

If you do do it, it's at your own risk and only if you are confident you know what you are doing.

If you get any problems post your questions in Help and Advice :)
