Yea - the reason I have never done an upgrade, and always just cancelled and gotten a new contract is because of their stupid penalising existing customers. Why not cut US a deal for once!!!!!!!

A good option is to just switch your old phones to the Virgin tarriff before taking out the new contract, then even if you never use them, those old numbers are penalising Orange!

But seriously (and on a less childish note) I really do get pretty hacked off with the way Orange don't value existing customers - about the only preferential thing you get for being an existing customer is a steadily decreasing Orange care payment - albeit on a phone that will probably be next to worthless by the time your 12 month contract expires.

Do other operators treat their customers in similarly bad ways?

Surely the first rule of business today is that you have to seduce your customers, ALL of the time? There are very few industries where the customer doesn't have a choice, and people remember when they have been treated unfairly, got a raw deal OR been shat on from a great height.

Hence why I will never, ever go with Vodafone again. :evil:

or u could jus go for the better option and use O2..who have always offered 500 free txts as standard
