Guest Myke Posted August 1, 2003 Report Posted August 1, 2003 I am allowed to send 100 text messages a month before I get charged, are there any programs that count how many text messages youve sent?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted August 1, 2003 Report Posted August 1, 2003 SMS Tools by the DAT group tells you how many you have sent, but that is only until you have deleted them.
Guest Myke Posted August 2, 2003 Report Posted August 2, 2003 thats cool. it would be sweet if there was a program that let you input your monthly limit and then it counted down :-D
Guest fraser Posted August 3, 2003 Report Posted August 3, 2003 This could be done I'm sure. A quick hack would be to tell the phone to save all outgoing text messages. Then an app would count the number of messages, increment it's own counter, and delete the messages. You could do clever things as suggested, like track monthly usage etc.
Guest roncom Posted August 10, 2003 Report Posted August 10, 2003 If you haven't noticed, going to the SENT ITEMS from your Message folder will actually tell you the number of text messages sent (look on the top portion). XOX
Guest fraser Posted August 10, 2003 Report Posted August 10, 2003 Yeah, but that only works if you save all outgoing SMS, which is a tremendous waste of space in IPSM. You really should delete the contents of "Sent Items", or even turn off "save sent" in the options. Plus, it doesn't differentiate between e-mails and SMS, nor does it count messages sent to multiple people or sent in multiple parts. What would be best if Orange just gave us GPRS access to our accounts, so you can see call plan minutes (etc) as well.
